Spider — Frequently Asked Questions
Everything about formats, quality, privacy and how Spider Solitaire Card Games works.
General
Frequently asked questions
Is this free?
Yes — every game is free, no download, no signup.
How many suits should I play?
One or two suits to learn; four suits for the real challenge.
Which games are here?
Spider (the main game), Scorpion and Klondike.
Spider Solitaire
Frequently asked questions
How do you win Spider solitaire?
Remove all eight complete suit runs (King down to Ace). Each finished run is banked off the board automatically; clear all eight and you have beaten the game.
Why can't I deal from the stock?
Spider forbids dealing while any column sits empty. Move a card into every gap first, then the stock will release its next row of ten cards.
Do sequences have to be the same suit to move together?
Yes. A block of cards only travels as one if it is already in descending order and all the same suit. Mixed-suit runs have to be relocated one card at a time.
What is the best difficulty for beginners?
Start with one suit to learn how runs form and clear, move to two suits to practise colour discipline, and save the four-suit game for when you want the real test.
Is Spider free here?
Yes — it plays free in your browser with undo and hints, and there is no download or signup.
Scorpion Solitaire
Frequently asked questions
How is Scorpion Solitaire different from Spider?
Scorpion Solitaire uses a single deck, builds runs strictly by suit, and lets you move any face-up card together with everything piled on top of it — there is no free-moving of loose ordered sequences the way Spider allows.
How many cards are dealt in Scorpion Solitaire?
Forty-nine cards fill seven columns of seven, and the final three sit in a reserve you deal out later when you are stuck.
What do I do with the reserve cards in Scorpion?
When no tableau moves remain, release the three reserve cards onto the first three columns. Save this move, since it is your only extra deal and can bury useful cards.
Why can't I place a card anywhere in Scorpion Solitaire?
Kings sit at the top of a suit and accept nothing beneath them, so an exposed King usually needs an empty column. Free one up to give it a home.
Is Scorpion Solitaire free here?
Yes — it runs free in your browser with no download and no signup.
Klondike Solitaire
Frequently asked questions
How do you win Klondike Solitaire?
Move all 52 cards up to the four foundation piles, building each suit in order from Ace to King. Empty the tableau and stock into the foundations and the game is won.
What is the difference between Klondike and Spider?
Klondike Solitaire uses one deck and builds up onto foundations by suit; Spider uses two decks and instead forms King-to-Ace runs in the tableau that are removed automatically.
Can I move more than one card at a time in Klondike?
Yes — an already-ordered run in alternating colours can be moved as a group onto a card one higher of the opposite colour.
What can go in an empty Klondike column?
Only a King, or an ordered run headed by a King, may be placed into an empty tableau column.
Is Klondike Solitaire free here?
Yes — it plays free in your browser with undo, hints and full-screen, and no download or signup.
